Meet Martin

 

For more than 25 years, I have lived and worked in the Ottawa-Carleton region. With an Engineering background and many years of experience in the Telecommunications field, it is my passion for real estate that has proven to be the most rewarding career path. Every house is different and every individual, couple and family has unique requirements and preferences. I strive to ensure that my clients get the personalized service they deserve with every interaction so that buyers get exactly what they are looking for in a home and sellers get the desired price range and closing date they have in mind.

Selling

Selling can be a stressful process: the showings, the open houses, the anxiety that comes from waiting for an offer. My job is to make the selling process much easier for everyone in the home.  I will assist you with staging tips, a pricing strategy, and timely showings and open houses that work with your schedule to make it easier for us to sell your home. In addition to reducing the stress associated with selling,  I will help to ensure that you get the best price for your home. Money is important to everyone, but your satisfaction with the sale of your home is important to me.

Buying

Although buying a home is an exciting new experience it can also be a daunting task. How do I know I am getting good value for my money? What should I know about the neighbourhood? What if there are things wrong with the house that I haven’t noticed? Without all the facts, how do you know? My job is to ensure that you are fully satisfied with the home you decide to purchase, especially after you’ve moved in. To accomplish this, you need to know your potential new home inside and out.  My commitment to you is that every home we look at will undergo a thorough examination. The only way to avoid unwelcome surprises once you have taken possession of the home is to ensure that we are aware of any major issues prior to making your decision.  “It’s about knowing” means exactly that: having all the information before hand to make a well-informed decision.

Homes have been a passion of mine since I was very young.  Getting into real estate from the path of the home inspector, I started and successfully operated a multi inspector, home inspection company here in Ottawa for 8 years. I have extreme knowledge of homes from personally inspecting 3600 homes inside and out. Clients love the very special insight and benefit I have provided as buyers view homes. My specialty is knowing what to do when home issues arise. I will help you solve the problem effortlessly and move on to your next wonderful place to live.

Becoming a Realtor was natural. I’m a people person and have been a sales and marketing specialist for more than 30 years. When helping my clients buy, I love to educate my clients about homes, but most importantly, buying the “BAD” home is avoided. I know what to look for and always listen to my clients regarding their personal comfort level with repairs that a home may need. No home is perfect. It’s looking for the right home that fits my clients needs and knowing more about the home that makes a valuable addition to helping you buy a home.
